Step 2
Ears,
neck and shoulders.
Trimm around the ear with the straight- edged scissors, be carefull not to cut in
the ear, some doggies have there double flap of skin on the ear edge. After that we start
on the top of the ear with the thinning-scissors. On the flaps of the ears often is
growing lots of hair standing to all sides and that needs to be neatened.
Again we push the thinning-scissors upwards into the hair, and only doing two or three
cuts, comb again and see how it looks. Don't trim away to much, but the ear must become
one with the head, so no hair standing to outside. In the ear also the hair must be trimmed
away very carefull. So that the ear can breath a little, so make the hair there shorter,
then under the ear, cut the long hairs away and behind the ear also with the
thinning-scissors make it shorter.
Then we start with the forechest. Cut the hair, again with the thinning-scissors
from breastbone to the ears, also keep the scissors in that direction, so against the hair
naturally growing. Never cut across the hair or steps will result, which take months to
grow out. This process has to be done
with the whole chest. Remember you want to neaten the outline and to accentuate the shape.
So merge the neck trimming into the shoulders, and you get a clean outline. Most of the
time the hair growing on the throat I make a bit shorter, so it is as the throat is dry
and not hanging so much.
Some doggies have on the shoulders much hair and it looks as he is to heavy on the
shoulder, also with the thinningscissors carefull trimming in the coat, so is not seen
doggie is trimmed there.
